How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, January 21, 2021 at 9:23 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 24 441 852 confirmed cases
• 406 196 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 074 812
2. Texas: 2 185 554
3. Florida: 1 601 011
4. New York: 1 279 811
5. Illinois: 1 081 354

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 41 587 reported fatalities, followed by California with 35 068 deaths, and Texas with 33 491.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 739 136 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 704 045 recoveries and Tennessee with 633 428.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 39 288 363 people tested, followed by New York with 29 538 381 people tested, and Florida with 17 910 668 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 96 984 258 confirmed cases, 2 077 803 deaths, and 53 508 849 recoveries.
