How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, January 28, 2021 at 9:22 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 25 600 243 confirmed cases
• 429 230 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 250 649
2. Texas: 2 309 220
3. Florida: 1 676 171
4. New York: 1 369 072
5. Illinois: 1 112 181

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 42 887 reported fatalities, followed by California with 38 828 deaths, and Texas with 35 877.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 867 289 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 757 003 recoveries and Tennessee with 668 021.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 41 252 482 people tested, followed by New York with 31 128 149 people tested, and Florida with 18 631 782 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 100 990 354 confirmed cases, 2 177 677 deaths, and 55 863 355 recoveries.
