How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, November 5, 2020 at 9:25 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 9 492 599 confirmed cases
• 233 767 deaths
• 3 743 527 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. Texas: 959 811
2. California: 951 924
3. Florida: 821 123
4. New York: 515 815
5. Illinois: 443 803

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 556 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 18 771 deaths, and California with 17 820.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 797 586 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 246 318 recoveries and Tennessee with 240 587.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 19 181 012 people tested, followed by New York with 15 034 157 people tested, and Florida with 10 236 958 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 48 252 129 confirmed cases, 1 227 544 deaths, and 32 005 578 recoveries.
