Global confirmed cases of COVID-19 have surpassed 48 million. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, November 6, 2020 at 11:24 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 9 628 469 confirmed cases
• 235 071 deaths
• 3 781 751 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. Texas: 969 573
2. California: 958 304
3. Florida: 827 380
4. New York: 518 812
5. Illinois: 453 738

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 657 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 18 909 deaths, and California with 17 873.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 802 611 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 246 318 recoveries and Tennessee with 243 492.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 19 266 363 people tested, followed by New York with 15 195 176 people tested, and Florida with 10 328 997 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 48 947 235 confirmed cases, 1 237 417 deaths, and 32 326 837 recoveries.
