Global confirmed cases of COVID-19 have surpassed 50 million. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, November 9, 2020 at 8:25 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 9 973 666 confirmed cases
• 237 584 deaths
• 3 881 491 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. Texas: 990 930
2. California: 976 186
3. Florida: 843 897
4. New York: 529 036
5. Illinois: 487 987

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 694 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 19 184 deaths, and California with 17 977.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 820 215 people who have recovered, followed by Tennessee with 250 818 recoveries and North Carolina with 246 318.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 19 724 628 people tested, followed by New York with 15 664 814 people tested, and Florida with 10 555 504 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 50 523 502 confirmed cases, 1 258 109 deaths, and 33 090 213 recoveries.
