COVID-19 Update: US and Global Cases, Deaths, and Recoveries as of September 25, 2020

Global confirmed cases of COVID-19 have surpassed 32 million. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, September 25, 2020 at 10:23 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 6 982 405 confirmed cases
• 202 886 deaths
• 2 710 183 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 800 344
2. Texas: 747 366
3. Florida: 693 040
4. New York: 452 847
5. Georgia: 311 698

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 095 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 16 091 deaths, and Texas with 15 510.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 642 169 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 176 422 recoveries and Tennessee with 171 153.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 13 952 857 people tested, followed by New York with 10 228 645 people tested, and Texas with 5 860 833 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 32 284 038 confirmed cases, 983 952 deaths, and 22 268 309 recoveries.
