According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 15, 2021 at 10:23 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 29 444 157 confirmed cases
• 534 937 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 623 063
2. Texas: 2 727 462
3. Florida: 1 976 808
4. New York: 1 741 363
5. Illinois: 1 209 245

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 56 573 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 48 953, and Texas with 46 423.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 51 099 687 people tested, followed by New York with 41 196 590 people tested, and Florida with 22 890 137 people tested.
