A recent American Psychiatric Association annual poll found that 37% of US adults feel more anxious now than they did 1 year ago, an increase from 2022 when 32% of adults reported the same. While American mental health has taken a hit, the state in which individuals reside in may have an impact on how happy adults are. For this reason, WalletHub recently examined the 50 states across 30 key metrics to determine which environmental factors are associated with a person's overall physical and mental wellbeing. The key metrics ranged from adult depression rate to divorce rate to amount of work hours. Find which states ranked highest and lowest across each metric in the slides below.
