Max Kursh, MS

Max Kursh serves as the Administrative Director of Community Health and Population Health at Cooper University Health Care, where he leads strategies that improve community health outcomes, expand access to care, and address the social determinants of health. In his current role, Max oversees a broad portfolio of community engagement initiatives that connect residents to preventive health services, education, screenings, care navigation, food access programs, post-acute care and other resources designed to improve population health. He has developed and strengthened partnerships with community-based organizations, State and government agencies, and nonprofit leaders to extend Cooper’s impact beyond the walls of the hospital and into the neighborhoods it serves. Max was the recipient of the 2026 New Jersey Social Innovation Award for Excellence in Population and Public Health.
